Rube
At the age of 9 Ruben heard his cousin friend rap free-style; which sparked a desire in him to become a rapper. Shortly after he wrote his first rap. Ruben’s passion for rapping continued to grow spending most of his time writing rhymes and making beats. When he was 16 years old he decided to take music seriously and pursue a career as an artist.
After becoming a born again Christian Ruben began to write rhymes for Christ. A year later in 2006 Ruben wrote his first Holy Hip Hop song called "A Path That's Right". In 2007 Ruben was featured on Holy Child Gospel’s recording artist Badiyah project entitled “THE MESSIAH” on the track “STANDING MY GROUND” which album was released in stores nation wide in March.
In June of the same year Ruben performed live at Badiyah’s Cd release party of which he received rave review from the radio announcers, retailers, distributors attending as well as heart felt response from the crowd. Finally in March 2008 Ruben was signed to Holy Child Gospel label as their One & Only Holy Hip-Hop Artist "Rube".
